The Barrington 220 Board of Education's 2024 Referendum Advisory Committee will assist the Board in identifying key components to be included in a referendum question proposed for the November 5, 2024 election ballot. The 2024 Referendum Advisory Committee will make a final recommendation to the Board of Education by the June 4, 2024 Board of Education meeting. The final decision of what will be asked on a potential referendum question rests with the Board. If the Board decides to place a referendum question on the November 2024 ballot, it must approve the question in August 2024.

The committee consists of approximately 60 members representing all district attendance areas and grade levels, as well as members of local Barrington community organizations.

Meetings are open to the public, however, only committee members may vote.

The ELC is a very special place because we have the privilege of working closely with our students and their families as they begin their school experience. I feel very fortunate to be one of the teachers here because I am supported by so many talented, caring and dedicated staff members. To be a part of the ELC team is to be a part of something very special, as we meet the unique and diverse needs of each child, and celebrate the growth of all of our youngest learners. Nancy ReedTeacher

The best part of the ELC is the relationships I form with my students, families, and colleagues. I am surrounded by an amazing staff who all have the same goal of doing what's best for our students. I love teaching young kids at one of the most critical stages in development and helping them to foster a love of learning.  Caralee NiemiecTeacher

I love working at the ELC! Everyday is an opportunity to learn better practices and ways to support our students and their  families with registration and collaborating with our office team. Assisting our principal, Michelle Tapia, has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience. I'm excited to see what the future brings.

I feel blessed to be a part of the ELC. Every staff member in our building plays a role in the success of our students and we strive to make a difference everyday in the lives of our littlest learners. The transformation of each child from their first day that they walk into our doors, to when they leave us, is simply amazing!Mandy KonwentTeacher
